Blue Light Filter: Which app is best?

I've noticed the built-in Blue Light filter on my phone (Huawei P10 Lite) is still kind of bright, so I've dimmed the brightness and this sort of does the trick. However, I have been using the payed-for version of the app, aptly named, "Blue Light Filter" from the Play Store. However, this app draws over everything and as such causes some input issues as well as some lag when certain apps are trying to communicate with me or gain my input. So my question is: What is the best Blue Light filter app for android?

All blue light filter apps do this by drawing over everything. So if that is your issue, then the default one is the one that suits you best. You'll probably be better served by looking for an app that fine tunes brightness instead, like Lux.

Thanks man :) I was hoping maybe some of them don't draw as brutally over everything as Blue Light Filter but you're probably right. Battery saving with brightness will definitely help so I'll check that out!

Your P10 Lite with EMUI already has a display filter feature included, no third-party app required, so no lag or other problems. Check under settings > display > eye comfort. Here you can adjust the amount of filter and set times for it to be on.

FYI it's actually a system feature of Android 8.x or later, so other phones should have it as well. It works at the system driver level by adjusting the colour balance, rather than having to run extra processes and drawing over everything that third-party "filter" apps have to do, which could cause lag and other issues
