Are these two apps connected/linked in some way?

I've been using Bluemail for a few years already, but only recently started to use Calendar.

I notice when a Calendar reminder appears as a notification, immediately below it there's exactly the same reminder below it under the heading Bluemail.

Can I prevent the Bluemail reminder, as it does seem pretty pointless?

Look in Bluemail's settings for an option to turn off adding reminders to the calendar.

I don't use the app myself, because I don't want my email app to store or process anything on their servers. But it's possible it has an option to identify appointments in emails and add them to the calendar, or maybe remind you of them itself (it's not clear whether your reminder comes from the calendar app or Bluemail). Either way you should be able to turn it off in Bluemail.

Thanks, the link to Calendar was in Bluemail itself.
I've disabled it.
It must have been linked by default
