Sorry if this seems a dupe but all the discussion on Bluestacks seems to be here in the Help forum...
I want to run an Android emulator on my Win 7x64 desktop. The only reason is simply that I'd like to access Instagram on the desktop, upload photos and comment etc.. Not really into Android games.
I tried the latest (two-three months ago) version of Bluestacks3 and while it worked for about ten minutes, without warning or previous problems I got a BSOD. (can't remember the actual error message).
Alarmed, I immediately uninstalled Bluestacks after a reboot. I keep a pretty clean environment and scan for rootkits, malware and viruses all the time. Except for this instance, I have never has a BSOD since I moved to Win7x64 and never another since i uninstalled Bluestacks.
Since then I have been looking for an emulator that will play nice with my desktop or perhaps some advice from others who have had similar problems with Bluestacks3 who can advise me what i did wrong.
