Bluetooth audio Sony A/V receiver problem

So I recently upgraded from a galaxy s5 to a galaxy s6.

I used the bluetooth feature for pairing with my Sony STR DN1040 A/V receiver on my s5 with the A.F.D. Auto sound field selected and the sound was awesome and played through 7.2 surround. Now, with my s6, I haven't changed any settings on my A/V receiver but the bluetooth audio condenses the output to 2.1 when the A.F.D. Auto sound field is selected. The only change is the phone.

Any ideas as to how to fix this?

Thanks in advanced.

I have gone through 4 Bluetooth headsets and the phone has a very poor Bluetooth connectivity if you ask me. I don't use Bluetooth for music but moving up from a S3 I found even if my phone is 3 feet away, the phone will drop the connection or if I rotate the phone the sound becomes distorted. Very short distant for reception, as sometimes sitting the phone on the car seat next to me it will drop the headset. Absolutely the worst Bluetooth of any phone I have owned... Droid X2, Droid X3, Samsung S3 &
S4 were all much better.
