Help Bluetooth auto-connect on reboot

I have a bluetooth unit in the car (separate unit, not integral with the car), and I've noticed that my new phone automatically connects to it after a reboot. Any way to stop this?

Until now I've always pressed a button on the BT unit to connect/disconnect to the phone.

If I don't notice and disconnect it, the unit in the car auto-answers incoming calls and I miss them.

I'm running ICS 4.0.4 on a Sony Xperia GO.

So even though you turn bluetooth off on your device it will still turn it back on when the device is rebooted?

EDIT: Thread moved to the Xperia GO forums for better, more specific, assistance.

No, I leave bluetooth switched on all the time, otherwise it's a faff to connect it when I get in the car (Rather than a single press of the button on the BT unit).
