BlueTooth call issues

HypnoKing

Lurker
I have an issue that when my phone is connected to the hands free car kit, the music plays fine through the car but when a call comes in, the call sound comes through the speaker on the phone.
Its happening on 2 BT car kits and other phones work fine.

Ive tried every setting I can including the BT settings on the phone but can't get around this problem.

Are there any hidden settings I can look for ?
The phone is a black view BV6000 running on android 7

And with what app are you playing music on your car?

And what happens when music isn't playing and you get a call?

Are you up to date with latest version of OS? Did you try restarting your phone? That's a weird problem... Does it work with WhatsApp or Skype or any other call/video app besides the standard Phone app?

Thanks for the replies :)

The hands-free kit is a generic, non branded dab, hands free kit from Ebay.

It works fine with other phones. I've had the same issue with another hands free kit, exactly the same.

Android version is 7.
It seems it is set as a default to use the phones built in speaker and I need to find away to override that.
There is a selector that shows when a call is in progress, to change it to bluetooth but it has to be changed during each call rather than stay n that as default.

Im hoping there is a setting somewhere to change it to bluetooth as default when connected

Thanks
M

I've never seen an option on any phone for switching the default for Bluetooth with phone calls. AFAIK as long as the connected Bluetooth device supports phone audio, that should be the default.

I've got one BT audio device that doesn't do phone audio. A 2.1 speaker system with subwoofer, it doesn't have a mic in it so it can't do phone audio.

Maybe there's a firmware bug with this Blackview phone? You could try an app called Sound About, that can reroute phone and media audio.

That's what I was thinking, myself.. The only time I've personally had those kinds of BT issues was with a buggy build
