I am using my new Huawei Mate 20 Pro and Dexcom App for measuring my blood sugar. ( But thats not relevant here..)
When connecting it to my medical device it shows me data for about 5-10min and than having a signal lost and never connects again.
But when I connect my smartphone to my car radio or bluetooth speaker (and playing music!) it "wakes up" and starts working again.
It seems that my bluetooth reciver in my Huawei device is going into a standby-mode when only connected to my medical device. Dont know if this can actually happen... But when connected to a second device and sending data it starts working again as long as I keep sending any data to it.
Some facts to my medical device: It sends every 5 minutes an update of my bloodsugar, so its not unlikely that my smartphone is going into a "standby-Mode"...
To be honest, this app is not supported by a lot of smartphones cause of medical usage. I downloaded this version on another reddit post, where I also asked the same question. The app is just a clone of the real one, but with no restriction for other android smartphones.

My questions :
- Can anyone explain me what is going on and why connecting it to a second device helps ?
- Do you have an idea how to solve this problem in any way - for example is there a way to overwrite some bluetooth settings which are relevant for this problem to occur. Or is there any other bluetooth driver I can use ? Is there an app which simulates a bluetooth device to not have my phone connected to a physical device? Other options?
