Help Bluetooth connection?

My phone auto connects to my car when I get in and turn on my car. IF I have the Gear 2, it's connected to the gear and when I get in my car it won't connect to the car right? If so, is there a way to force it to connect to the car and disconnect from the gear automatically?

I wonder if that is the problem with mine? I have the Pioneer AVH-2400BT head unit, and the phone will connect with bluetooth audio and work with the phone too, but the Phonebook and call log don't always sync, although I have allowed it. I was thinking it may be a Pioneer issue, needing a firmware update. It used to work all the time, but lately, it's hit and miss... thoughts on how to make it sync my contacts to the head unit.

I'm flat out disgusted at this point. I have a jabra headset, working just fine up until two hours ago. Nothing changed, no settings altered, it is all of the sudden paired with media audio and won't pair back to call and I've turned it off, charged it, repaired it, deleted it and rediscovered it changed every freakin setting I can find and it will NOT work with answering a phone call. As I said it worked fine 2 hours ago and now, nothing. Brand new headset less than a week old. Any suggestions?

I would be too, doubt it will help us help you, but which carrier are you using?

It would be helpful if you just goto CP or Control Panel and enter your carrier there.

Did you turn the phone OFF also or just the BT headset?

I use the Blue Parrot XT-250 truckers headset with boom mic. Love it, and no issues so far.

Joe, would SmartActions help? You can find it in the Playstore.

Thanks monicakm, I'll check that out. I don't have the gear2 yet, just asking for future reference. I do have tasker and am very familiar with it so if I can get it to do the job that would be great as well.

I am not sure what else I can do to make my Bluetooth connection to my car stereo work better. the audio works right away, but if I go to my contacts, or phonebook, or recent calls on the head unit, nothing displays. I have to wake the phone, and go to contacts, maybe make a call before that info syncs with the Bluetooth head unit. Also, when I get out of the car and then back in, the Bluetooth reconnects, but it doesn't start playing where it left off, it just starts at a new random song. this is not the way BT should work in a car. Frustrating

Just to bring this back to light... now, my phone will link through BT to my Pioneer 2400BT, but will not display call log, contacts, etc.. so I cannot make a call without using the phone, to dial or select the contact, and then the BT will send audio through the car. I can't figure out what it is that will make the phone sync all of that with the stereo! Ideas?
