Help Bluetooth disconnects from SYNC on call only

Zach Bas

Hello and thank you in advance for your assistance.

I have an HTC Droid DNA that is unrooted. I have the latest update from Verizon, I believe 4.09.

So, the issue. I got a Ford Focus with SYNC enabled in December. The Bluetooth and calling functions worked fine until about a month ago when I noticed that Bluetooth would disconnect any time I started a call (received or dialed out). I can actually see on the phone "Bluetooth disconnected" whenever the call begins. It then reconnects automatically after the call. The Bluetooth works perfectly for everything else, like listening to music or audiobooks.

I have noted that someone else's phone is able to make calls. I have also noted that it doesn't matter which phone call app I use, unless I make a data call instead of wireless. It works for data calls.

Things I have tried: When it first happened I deleted a few new apps I had gotten. No such luck. I tried unpairing my phone and deleting the record in SYNC. No dice. I have also restarted the phone >.<

Has anyone had a similar issue? Is there some way to keep a log of what apps might be interfering with Bluetooth? I would like to get ideas before completely resetting my phone and then reinstalling apps one by one.

Thanks again for your help,
Zach
