Bluetooth in Auto Requires Reconnection

I just moved up to the S5 from the S3 ... so far loving it. One glich i can't figure out is: after re-pairing the Bluetooth to my car, it doesn't hold the pairing. Everytime i turn the vehicle off and i get in again - the pairing is saved but i need to reconnect. The S3 held the pairing, and it was reconized everytime i got in.

Is there any thoughts on what i'm missing?

Appreciate any thoughts or ideas!

Both my Galaxy S and my Galaxy S5 have always needed to be told to "reconnect".

I have never had the BT headsets connect just because they were in the near vicinity, and to me that is exactly the way it should be. I have several BT devices and I don't need all of them trying to connect at the same time.

Now, if a connection was "already in progress" and I walk out of the "zone" I will hear "out of range" in my BT headset. I return to the zone within a few minutes and I will hear "in range, BT now connected"...

but, if I stay "out of range" too long, the connection is terminated and has to be restarted again.

and I still think that is just as it should be.

I am hoping that you have found what to do because I am in the very same situation with the new S5 !
I used to be able to automatically have the car/phone pair automatically with the S2, but now I have to re-pair each time I get in the car after having turned it OFF.
Quite a glitch I say.
If you have more info about this, please let me know.

Thanks.
