Help Bluetooth Issues on Reconnect

When trying to reconnect to my bluetooth headset after shutting it down, for some reason my HTC One m8 refuses to reconnect to the headset and connects only to media under the bluethooth connection.
In order to fix this issue, I need to turn on airplane mode for a few seconds and afterwards turning on the bluetooth again - only then it works and connects properly to my headset.

Does anyone know abouth this bug on the m8? Any useful solution like software update instead of turning on airplane omde each time?
 
I would say to unpair and then pair again.
Go into Bluetooth settings, press on the settings button next to the device name and select 'unpair'

What do you mean it goes to media? As opposed to calls?
 
Yep, i mean that for example I'm able to listen to music on my phone via the headset but not able to answer phone calls after disconnection.

Unpairing the phone and the headset didn't work for me..

Reset the headphones. I know it sounds strange but it IS possible.
