I'm having problems with Bluetooth cutting out during navigation (both Google Maps and Waze). I'm using UConnect on my Dodge van and the phone is the Moto X with Kit Kat 4.4.4.
The phone and stereo pair up and seem to connect just fine. Phone calls work well and playing music through the stereo also works fine. But if music is not playing, navigation doesn't play through the stereo or through the phone's speaker. If I press the van's UConnect button, it says it's still connected to the phone. So I press it again to turn off UConnect and then the next navigation direction plays through the stereo, but that's it. No more unless I press that UConnect button twice.
My work-around is to play music from the phone if I want to hear turn-by-turn directions during navigation. My previous phone, a Droid Razr M running Kit Kat 4.4.3 (I believe), did not have this problem. So I don't know if it's the Moto X or 4.4.4.
Any ideas would be appreciated. The work-around isn't all that horrible, but I'd rather have the system function properly than to figure out work-arounds.
