Bluetooth problems

Okay, so I got a PS3 Sony Bluetooth Headset 2.0 and it's suppose to work on phones to, not just my PS3, I know it's true because it has before, but that was more on luck. But now I don't know what to do again, since for some reason it won't recongize my bluetooth and even when it did it would just be "connecting" forever >:-( (sad/angry) What should I do?

This is what I do to try to connect them:

I open up the [Settings],
then I go to [Wireless & Networks],
Then I click the top thing to turn on the [Bluetooth],
then I look at [Bluetooth Devices],
there will usually be at least 'TVBluetooth' for some reason, but then sometimes by some fluke, idk, my [Wireless Headset] shows up finally, but then it takes FOREVER to connect, it's doing it right now and it's never ending >:-(

So all in all, idk what to do or what the problem is. Atm it is taking forever to connect, but also my bluetooth isn't blinking red/bue, which means it's pairing, if it says "Paired" does that mean it's actually paired and I don't need to do anything? I usually tap it, which is why it's trying to connect now.

Also if I don't tap it, I just turn bluetooth on, will it work? Like when I'm talking on the phone or more importantly atm, to listen to the music I have on my phone? -I wanna go wallking using my Zoom (or was it Voom? idk) to monitor how far I've walked and it offers a music option which helps alot, but I don't have headphones, I just have my bluetooth, but I also just wanna know it'll work :-/

This thing is giving me a headache! But I need it to work, can someone help me?

So, my bluetooth is finally working, but not for the music on my phone, how can I get my phone (Andriod Galaxy Mesmorize) to play music via my bluetooth headset? (PS3 Sony Bluetooth Headset 2.0):(

I wanna walk/work out while listening to music, it would be nice :-/

Under settings-bluetooth find your head phones and click the settings for it. There should be options you can check on what you want the bluetooth device to be used for.
