Bluetooth signal strength seems weak

I am able to connect to my LG Bluetooth soundbar but if I move more than 5 feet away the signal is lost (or it stops picking up). My wife's Iphone works with the soundbar from at least 15 feet away, probably more. Does the pixel have weak Bluetooth? Is there a fix? I also tried to find info on Bluetooth signal differences for cell phones but didn't come up with anything...

My Pixel 2 is about 40' from my Bose speaker and I have no problem connecting and staying connected. Try deleting on both devices then re-pairing them.
