I have a 2016 VW Golf Sportwagen and sometimes play music from my phone over Bluetooth. Previously I had an iPhone and it always displayed the song information correctly on the head unit. Now I have a Google Pixel 2 and after displaying the first song correctly, it then falls one song behind. That is, the second song plays but the head unit still shows the first song. Then the third song plays and it shows the second song. So after the first song it is always one song behind.
This happens with several music apps such as Amazon Music, doubleTwist, and Spotify. The only exception is Google Play Music, which somehow is able to show the current song on the head unit.
Has anyone else seen this happen in their car with an Android phone? Is there a remedy? I have been installing all the updates from Google
