Bluetooth v3 VS Bluetooth v2.1 sound quality

Hi Everyone,

Bluetooth sound quality question. For various reasons I'd like to use my personal well fitting in ear earbuds connected to a bluetooth adapter. There are a number of these for sale from various reputable and less reputable online vendors - like this one.

The bluetooth adapters come in Bluetooth v2.1 and v3.0

The question: Anyone have any experience with these? Is there a noticeable increase in sound quality of the 3.0 over the 2.1? I know v3.0 has theoretically higher throughput but does audio quality increase because of the higher throughput? (Or are these things junk in the first place?). I have bluetooth v2.1 over the ear headphones which are adequate but I would like a bit better quality.

thanks

I am under the impression that blue tooth is limited to CD quality sound or worse. In addition, my experience with 2.1 to powered speakers is that it plays more quietly, that is to say, the volume control on the speaker needs be goosed to get the same sound level one gets using a simple wire from the device to the speakers....

Put simply, IMHO Blue Tooth is a convenience but is not a serious high quality music player....yet
