Help Bluetooth Woes

Anyone else here experiencing Bluetooth issues? Maybe it's just me, but I have a Jabra Revo Wireless stereo headset paired with the Note 7. Almost every time I pause my music, hang up a call, or otherwise suspend an activity with the headset, it disconnects and reconnects to the phone... sometimes multiple times! This never happened with the same headset and my Moto X Pure.

Normally it wouldn't be a huge thing, but the Jabra Revo headset has voice notification built in... so when it disconnects, it actually says "disconnected" and when it connects, it says "connected". Hearing that over and over again, several times a day, gets more than a little annoying.

Anyway, I'm going to un-pair the headset and re-pair it, hoping that fixes the issue. I have a feeling, though, that the Note 7 simply doesn't play well with it.

Possibly it's got something to do with how the Note 7 works with Bluetooth. I've got a BT speaker that also says "Bluetooth disconnected" and "Bluetooth connected" (in Mandarin). But my phone (Oppo) does actually stay connected to it, when stopping and starting the music, hanging up calls. Sounds like the Samsung doesn't.

You would think that something as simple as Bluetooth binaries would be pretty standard and consistent... apparently, that is not the case. I un-paired and re-paired the headset from scratch, and so far it seems to be behaving. We'll see if it lasts.

Mine was doing something similar when I'd be listening to my LG bluetooth earphones. I found out that my car's bluetooth was also trying to connect at the same time. This would cause my earphones to drop out. My fix was unpairing the car's bluetooth. Next time it happens, open up your Bluetooth advanced settings and see what other device is trying to connect.

Oh and the above recommendation only applies if you have a non-exploding Note 7. I don't want to offer up suggestions, your phone blows up, and I'm held liable...

Well, the Bluetooth headset is about the only thing trying to connect, although I have can several Bluetooth LE devices pairing and connecting, too. I really don't think that's the issue, though. We'll see how it goes today.
