Hello. I've done quite some time searching Google for an answer to this issue and nothing has worked for me. Allow me to explain my situation...
I've been driving my Slobalt for years with an aftermarket head unit. ZERO issues with the bluetooth. Everything works on it.
I bought a second car a week ago (a 2011 GTI). It has the stock head unit. I paired it with my phone, and it played music from my phone. Awesome.
I get out of my GTI and get back in it hours later. Connect bluetooth, and open Pandora. The sound plays on my phone, but not in the car. The head unit will say what song is playing on Pandora, but it won't come through the car. I've tried unpairing the phone and repairing it. No luck. I've messed with the settings. No luck. I go into my settings on the phone and it will NOT let me select "allow media" or whatever under the paired device.
Sounds like an issue with the car. But it's not...
I got in my Slobalt this morning to go to work. Connected Bluetooth and put Pandora on. It only comes out of my phone and not the car...
Again. With this device, it won't allow me to click the "allow media" setting. But with both cars, it let's me select the hands-free calling option...
I appreciate any help on the matter.
I'd also like to note that everything is up-to-date on the phone and head units.
