Bluetooth won't connect/pair after having screen sent in for service

The only way to get it to work is to have the two devices, my galaxy s8 and anything, physical touch. But if the become an inch a part they become disconnected... why?
 
This sounds like a situation where the Bluetooth antenna wasn't properly re-seated when you're phone was out being serviced. See step 24 in this link:

You can try and fix this yourself as long as you have all the proper tools, or send it back in telling them about the problem.
