Help blurry picture

Newbie
after upgrading to 2.1 my x10's contact picture becomes very blurry.

Does anybody body know what I am referring to? and how can I fix it?

I know what your referring to as the same thing happened to me...it was perfect before and now they went and screwed it up. Ive read lots of people had the same issue over on the SE Product Launch Blog to. So were probably gonna have to wait until the 2nd update (UXP) to have that fixed...maybe! hopefully!
 
I noticed this too, but had same problem in the past, so No need to wait untill next update, the way to fix it, as annoying as it is, but it works is to edit the contact picture, delete the blurry one and re add it.

That method worked for me when using 1.6 but when I updated to 2.1 it no longer works. Something has definetly been changed in the 2.1 update. No matter what I do my pics are blurry when making or receiving calls from my contacts.

Your right, it looks fine in phonebook, but when you actually make the call its blurry cos its enlarged..hadnt noticed but now i have that sucks

With how ugly most of my friends are its actually a bonus lol

not much of an issue to me
 
Just make sure the contacts are the first and second name of the people, contact - edit - menu button - join. If you have them as a friend on facebook it merges the contact with their facebook account. Not sure if this is commonly known but tis pretty kewl methinks. :)

Harsh but true, but come on - the pics are perfect when in the phonebook, and when on a call its at your face with screen off - is it that much of an issue ?

Maybe thats what sony thought

Though i have checked on my hi-res images they aint too bad

That's true. If my friends were good eye candy, I'd prefer to talk to them in person or just ask them out LOL
 
I had the same problem but not till after the facebook updated last. one way I found to fix it is one by one click your contact, hit edit, scoll down to the very bottum where you see a thumbnail. click that thumbnail and select "set as contact picture" hit done and image will be crisp.
