BOGO Question

How does the VZW BOGO work if you return the line you purchased and want to keep the free one?

I'm not trying to rip anyone off. The reason I'm asking is, I upgraded two lines with the current Droid BOGO. I used my NE2 and upgraded my wife's line. Now I'm leaning towards returning mine and getting the incredible. My question is since I paid for my Droid and would be returning it, will i be charged the $199 for my wifes Droid?

The Droid is still BOGO, but I'm not sure if I purchase the incredible will i be able to get a droid free? If so, I will return both and wait a couple of weeks and start all over again. When I called VZW they didn't know I the BOGO would apply. I told them I'm not looking to get another Incredible for free, just a droid.

No, if you return the line, you return the free phone. It's as if you didn't take advantage of BOGO in the first place.

If you just swapped out phones, you'll eat a restocking fee ($35) so as long as you're within the returning date... I believe.

To avoid the restocking fee, you'll have to reactivate your old phone and use it for a few days, then buy the Incredible.

I did this with an Eris. Returned it last week and went back to my EnV. No restocking fee. No questions asked.
