Hello Everyone!
Glad to be here, I was a former apple trifecta user (macbook pro, Ipad2, Iphone 4)
When I saw Future Shop had a sale on Plasma TV's I sold my Ipad for a bigger screen. : )
Then when I started a new business I suddenly qualified for Rogers Small Business plan. So me and my Girlfriend got new devices with rogers, when you activate 2 new devices with rogers they give you a free Galaxy 10.1 tab : )
Because I can get a new device for very cheap on a new contract I thought about getting the 4S however I am not over impressed with the "improvements" of the 4S and I already have an iphone 4.
So I figured I would get the Samsung Galaxy SII LTE, if I really dont like it I can use my jailbroken/unlocked iphone 4 with rogers as well.
So thats the story of how almost over night I went from pure apple to mostly Android. My devices should arrive in the mail today or tomorrow!
One question though, when I was researching the phone I kept coming across the Samsung Galaxy SII HD LTE is this the same as the SGS2 LTE? if not does anyone know what the differences are between these devices?
Also for the purpose of emulation/homebrew/rooting instructions can I follow directions I find online for the SGS2? or is there a big enough difference between S2 and S2 LTE that I should always look up LTE specific instructions.
One last question as a newbie to the forums, is it acceptable to ask questions such as...
"is it currently possible to use rooting to put ICS on the SG2 and is there a stable version?"
