If a browser tried to copy my bookmark bar on a phone I'd have to be able to scroll sidewards to see more than a couple of folders, then open the folder and select the bookmark. Unless you only have a few bookmarks you are going to be using multiple clicks no matter what. If you do only have a few bookmarks many browsers will let you store those on a "start" page (so click button to open a new tab, click bookmark, done). I don't know about Chrome as I don't use that on any device.
I don't use bookmarks to save typing, I use them to save having to remember the full url (text completion doesn't necessarily find the right page in a site, even less propose it as the first result). So I think they have different purposes for you and I.
Anyway you say you want your bookmarks "from Google", so aren't you basically saying you need to use Chrome? Other browsers may sync with their own desktop versions, but they won't sync with Google, so if that is your requirement you are surely stuck with Chrome?
