Root [Boost Mobile] Bootlooped

So I managed to get my rooted s3 on 4-11 LA DEATHLY KERNEL to get into bootloop. I'm still able to get into download and recovery but wanted to ask what I should do before I further brick my phone.. Thanks all.

Download MOAR rom you should download the newest one (the link to the rom is in the "working roms" thread on this forum) to your sdcard boot into recovery factory reset wipe cache and dalvic cache the go under install zip find MOAR and install it it'll bring up the aroma installer with many options you can choose when installing the rom

Also if you installed ls deathly kernel and your running tw it's going to boot loop because you installed a kernel built for stock android not tw

If you don't want a new rom you can search
Dkp TouchWiz 4.1 kernel and download and install that and the rom should boot just be careful and read everything before you flash anything. I would recommend that you just install MOAR rom though bud

Thanks man. Do you think that MOAR is better than LS? And does 4G LTE work? Also, I do have the 4-11 zip file for LS on my sd card already so could i factory and wipe everything and just flash again like I did the first time, get titanium backup, and backup everything old again?

I'm actually really confused on what I should do right now. I would like to be able to keep my apps and all the data i have right now since I haven't backed up since before I flashed the first time..

I think I misread the first post before it bootlooped were you on tw or liquid smooth because if your on liquid smooth which I think your saying you were and then you flashed a kernel and it bootlooped you if that's the case

And flash it and it'll fix the bootloop

Sorry about that I gave you the wrong directions I was thinking you were saying you just rooted your s3 then download a LS kernel and flashed it and got bootlooped sorry

I personally like stock android so LS is better than moar to me. Yes 4G works you just need to flash the 4G fix that's posted in the working roms thread also

If you want to run LS yes you would go to recovery factory reset then install LS and you'll need the gapps and the 4G fix other than that you'll be good

As far as apps and app data I use titanium backup and backup all my apps so when I install a new rom all I have to do is restore the apps
Remember if your using tb change the backup folder to your sdcard so when you wipe everything you won't accidentally wipe your backups

And flash it and it'll fix the bootloop

Good you have it fixed and you could post that the kernel made you bootloop in the working roms thread so everyone would know but I had a bad experience with the ls kernels so I know from experience some versions don't boot and some version only boot the rom on liquid smooth so I leave them alone lol I've got bootlooped plenty of times trying to get that kernel to run on other asop roms

If that doesn't work you'll have to make a backup of your current rom then flash a tw rom and do a prl update and a profile update then go back to your original rom and flash that zip to get data and 4g

Don't feel bad bro because you're not by yourself. I found out the hard way too. I tried flashing some of the Deathly and Quantum kernels on other ROMs and got caught in a few bootloops.

I thought since they were 4.4.2 kernel builds that they would work on all 4.4.2 ROMs. I've found that's not the case at all.

It's all good though and dkp is running nicely. Decimalman is doing a great job.
