Root [Boost Mobile] Cant move nandroid backups?

Whenever I'm trying to copy / move the backup in clockworkmod in the internal storage files on my computer, it always say "A device attached to the system has stopped working" and wont let me do anything from there. I want to move the backups because they take up ALL of my space in my phone, and I'm pretty sick of that. Any help? Thanks.

I'm using Philz touch recovery as well.

Have you tried using your phone to transfer the files to your SD card? Make sure you have root privilege with the file explorer. With the Root Explorer paid app you need to switch if from r/w to r/o. Then move the files. Since backups are so large I recommend moving them one at a time.

I've done is on several occasions.

Then you can just pull the SD card and plug it into your pc.

Still, you've got something that's not right. What I've mentioned is a temporary fix.

If i understand your problem, you are trying to move files from the S3 internal memory to your (windows?) computer.

If you have an sd card installed (if you don't have an sd card installed you should get one) you can easily move the files from internal memory to the sd card. I suggest using "es file exployer".

Also once you have an sd card you can use PhilZ to save any future backups to the sd card.

Once you have the files on the sd card you should be able to easily move them to your PC.

Edit... looks like I just told you to do the same thing that wetbiker suggested.. Guess great minds think alike :)

I don't have a large enough SD card sadly.. Looks like I have to go buy one now. I only have a 2GB SD card haha. I'm still not sure why I can't move them internally though..

Fixed! Seems like switching USB did the trick surprisingly. I used the USB the phone came with, if that helps at all for future problems. Thanks guys! More space woo :p

Yep. All USB cables are not the same. Even thought a USB cable may charge the phone, it may not be a data cable
