Root [Boost Mobile] New PRL

Read about the prl change in either the Prevail or the Marquee section last night.

Might have to flash my MOAR backup so I can update it. Can't update on the ROM I'm running now. Well, not the easy way anyways. :p
 
I got the new prl update while in St Petersburg FL and my service seems to be spottier now. I've tested through 4g rich areas and 3g only areas and my service is nowhere as good now.
 
i would have to agree with that i just thought they were working on towers again. its been to long, must be new prl.
 
Mine updated 2 days ago and I am getting service in areas I normally don't get any. Call quality has improved in other areas 100%
 
My signal is fluctuating more now. Where I had 2-4 bars, I now have 0-2. WTH BOOST? LOL, things will eventually work themselves out I guess.

If not, I would appreciate it if you would share what you learn and we'll get it figured out. I have been successful changing the prl on every phone I have tried in the past. This one is next. :D

Just got back from an EPIC camping trip!!! Best 2 days I've had away from the house in quite awhile. Didn't think I'd have enough time to get in the office tonight and catch up on things but thankfully the traffic wasn't bad coming home. Looks like I'm going to be changing my prl tonight also. lol :p

I just confirmed that "Samsung DM Service" is required to perform any of the four System Update actions, such as Update PRL. So if you unfreeze it then you have to also reboot.
 
Hey guys. Does anyone have the last Boost prl before the newest update. If you've got it, I would appreciate it if you'd shoot me a link.

Lmao, I don't remember what the numbers were for the prl or I'd find it myself.

If anyone knows the prl number of the last prl before the update, that would be cool too.

The newest prl is 33030. I need the one before it. I can't remember what number it was though. I guess that 104

Well gentlemen, I have tried to change my prl using the Touch Whiz way and I do not have the "PRL Write" option in the DATA section of my hidden menu. I have tried just about everything to access the "PRL Write" option. I even tried the app AnyCut. Here's the thing that's pissing me off! I can open AnyCut and see PRL Write. When I try to make a shortcut to it the phone locks up. I've even tried making it a system app but it still won't work.

Looks like DFS may be the only option. Hopefully that'll work.

@ Smith. How did you get yours to work?? Did you have to use the DFS option??


EDIT: Nope! DFS didn't work either. It got stuck on "searching" after I entered my msl. WTH is going on here? HMMMMM. I've tried quite a few times too. I guess I could use CDMA workshop like I did with my Prevail but it's bugging the S**T out of me why it's not working when it's supposed to. lol

I'm gonna chill right now and wait on some replies since a few of you have changed yours. I need some 411 on this before continuing.:mad:
 
Okay I just did it again to double check that it works on this rom im on MOAR, it works fine. just follow the instructions... Hopefully it's just the ROM that you are on

Bro, I've tried it on Wicked Sensations and stock. It's not in view or edit either.

I'm going to try it with the Stock-Barebones ROM. Hopefully that'll work.
