Thank you, I have looked that over a couple times... It makes me nervous. So it is not needed for me to back up the phone from the get go? like before I do anything? I dont want to be annoying, but I'm a construction worker. None of my friends even know what root means. I'm all alone over here. Hell, it took me a while to figure out how to get back to my thread.
Its not annoying, That's what the forums are for. yes its scary at first I've done this to so many phones and every time is a new adventure and just as scary as the last time. the devs we have in here are very helpful and very very good at what they do. I'm gonna break it down as simple as possible plug in to a pc and backup your internal sd like pics vids and music if you have any. Then go ahead and do the odin process. It's safe to do. It will not wipe your phone. Then you start the phone in recovery hold volume up home and power button while the phone boots u will come to the Samsung logo but in the top left of screen will be blue words "recovery something" right then let go of all buttons. This is where you wanna back up your stock setup. Once that's done your ready for roms.
First install recovery then boot to recovery and back up.
