My phone is a SGS3, SPH-L710. If you're using something else, be sure to get the appropriate builds of things.
Firstly, make sure you've got TWRP recovery. I used the latest build (for sprint SGS3's), twrp-3.0.2-0-d2spr. Cant remember if I had to use the img or tar, just grab both. Odin that bad boy.
*****NOTE*****
The ROM I am pointing you to, as far as I know, has only one major issue- [EDIT]- the BT issue only happens if your BT device does both media AND phone. If your device does both, you can turn one or the other off in BT settings and they'll work, alone, just fine. I've tested this now on another similar ROM, and the latest weekly, but not the March build of OctOS. At this point I'm recommending installing the latest weekly![/EDIT]
bluetooth media doesn't work. This MAY be an AOSP issue, or a marshmallow issue....I can't seem to find a definitive answer. There exist "weekly" builds of this ROM.... they're great, except the bluetooth issue is fixed for media, but now broken for phone calls. If phone calls are more important for your BT, stick with this "release" version from March. I haven't found any other noticeable differences.
Sweet, now grab the
ROM-

(You want d2spr if you're on Boost with an S3 like me. Otherwise poke around and find out what build ya need.)
GApps-
opengapps.org
(You HAVE to flash GApps right after the rom, no booting in between!)
for the SGS3: ARM > 6.0 > [Pick one]
MMS Fix-
There's this one (slayer):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/mot...-6-x-boost-t3290719/post64835898#post64835898
And this one (Univ):
http://androidforums.com/threads/bo...al-boost-apn-fix-for-d2lte-builds-mod.840501/
(I used Univ first, then slayer, and I can't say for sure whether anything sticks from Univ so get em both and I'll tell ya below what order to install em).
Instructions:
1) Boot into recovery (and do a backup, probably. especially if you've just changed recoveries)
1a) (Vol+, Pwr, Home, leggo Pwr after blue text)
2) Wipe (the generic "works usually" wipe is good enough). It doesn't wipe internal media (you'll even see it say "skipping Data/media" or some such stuff)
4) Install the ROM, followed immediately by the Univ, then the Slayer. This also does not wipe your internal (built-in) SD card. Pics saved, hooray.
5) Reboot, until you get the home screen. Going into data settings, you should be able to get 3G, but selecting LTE will give you jack squat.
6) Power off, then boot back into recovery.
7) DO NOT WIPE at this point. Flash the ROM (ur so dirty), the GApps, and Slayer together (queue all 3 zips if ya want), reboot.
8) Your pull-down notification bar thingy for data should say Sprint. Thats coo, but waddabout Boost? Make sure your WIFI is off, then go to Settings, About Phone, Status, SIM Status, and check it out. After just viewing this screen, everything should say boost now, and you'll have your LTE.
Themes work in this ROM too. Its pretty awesome.
