Root boot loop after Safestrap-Spyder-3.72.apk

Trying to do a backup before anything else, I installed Safestrap-Spyder-3.72.apk, asked it to install its recovery, then to reboot. I got an unreadable torn screen. Now fast boot and forced boot both get me into the same boot loop and I can't power off. What do I do now?

I don't have a backup because I am still trying to get something installed that will create one. I previously tried RazrBootstrap, to no avail. Motorola Droid razr, Android 2.3.6.

do you know if ADB can detect it? from there, you could try reboot bootloader and go ahead with RSDlite

This turned out to be, in part, a discharged battery problem. After no success with factory cables, I opened the case and connected directly to the battery. After that, I was able to use Matt's Droid RAZR utility to reinstall jellybean. That left me with an entirely different problem, but that belongs in a different thread.
