Root Boot loop help! Stops Booting at Metropcs logo

My metropcs lg l70 stops loading at the metropcs logo. The logo starts to load about every 7 seconds. Is there any way to recover without losing my texts? I use google voice, but I'd still like to save my texts.

I can get it into download mode but I'm not sure of the next step to take to avoid doing a full reset/flash.

I haven't done anything weird or installed anything bad lately. The sd card had 300mb left, internal rom had 200 mb left also. Most user apps apk and libraries were linked to the ext4 partition with link2sd.
