Root Bootanimation

I have downloaded two different apps that should change my bootanimation but when i turn my phone off after installing it and turn it on the cricket logo is still there, I have root access and I'm on the 2.3.5 update..... can somebody help me with my bootanimation install....?

lol reaper ur epic anyways seems ur on the cricket version or aka 915 i will say this on the metro pcs version the 910 i used an app called bac or boot animation changer it worked great without a flaw but never tried it on a 915 i dont see why it wouldnt work just do a backup just incase then try it out. u can find it on the market i believe.
