Root Bootloader

Is the bootloader still most likely locked or is there a way around it to install cwm or boot into recovery?

The bootloader is locked. Rooting your phone will not unlock the bootloader.

So far, nobody has found a way around it. So no, we cannot boot into recovery. (Well, we can. But it will immediately reboot back into Kitkat.) And no custom recovery. Probably won't be a workaround for the bootloader lock or custom recovery for a while, if at all.

Ahhh, alright, thanks so much potential with this phone though lol

Even without access to the bootloader, using towelroot to root the phone gives you the ability to use titanium backup. Getting rid of the bloatware was my primary objective in rooting, and I freed up nearly 300meg worth of useless crap. I would have stayed with my admire 2, but metro had this thing on sale for 50$ with a mail in rebate of 49$...so it was a no-brainer.

This phone isn't top of the line by any means, but for the price, its a snappy lil' performer. Until I move to the moto g/x/whatever this'll do. :-)

ok, so im no android genious, but, with the root, couldn't you try to use terminal emulator, and the code to unlock boot loader, or does android not come with onboard ADB, and if not, how easy would it be to install ADB?

sent from my LG L70 (lika bawz XD jk)

FINALLY THERE IS A ROOT, now to remove bloat ware!

XD other than the memory issues, love the phone, use it daily, for spotify, KiK, skype, etc. works great!
