Borderlands 2: Cross Platform Multiplayer?

I have it on my PC. And I want to know if my friend gets it on his Mac, would we be able to play online with each other?

I found this (posted on Jan 15th) :

"As I write this, Borderlands 2 online play is limited to Mac-to-Mac only (Aspyr tells me they’re working on an update to expand online play to PC users)"

Yeah, I managed to find the relevant info. Something about the Mac/PC versions being mismatched.

I think they said they're looking at February...
