Help Bought a Dragon Touch need help with settings

Hi all. I just bought a Dragon Touch S8, Android version 5.1.1 and have a few things that are bugging me. Hopefully someone will know the solution.
#1 - on the home screen besides having the back, home, and open apps icons I also have two volume control icons and a camera icon. I'd like to only have the three "traditional" icons. (I keep hitting the volume icon instead of the back icon). Can't figure out how to get rid of the "extra" icons. BTW all screenshots in the manual and online show only the three icons so I'm not sure how I got this "special" version.
#2 - I can't remember how I got the Google app to open search results in a browser instead of within the app itself.

Any help would be appreciated!

Sounds rather odd, and very possibly some customization that the manufacturer has done to it. Problem with "Dragon Touch", it's not actually a company, it's a generic branding that various unknown manufacturers and trading companies use for many whatever cheapo phones and tablets, usually sold cheap online and shipped from China.

I guess this customization is permanently baked-in, short of rooting, getting into the firmware and hacking it.

This S8, is it a Samsung Galaxy S7 or something knockoff?

I was looking at a review of the Tablet Express Dragon Touch S8 Tablet and I found this picture:

Looks like those soft keys are baked in by the manufacturer so unless they find some way to root this device your probably stuck with them. The reviewer has not if you read the whole review. He wants Marshmallow but Tablet Express hasn't released it. You could ask Tablet Express if they plan to release Marshmallow but I think you'd still have those extra buttons. There might be an app in the Play Store that will get your homescreen looking like you want it.

Thanks for your answers. And, yes, it is just a cheapo tablet bought through Amazon. I only use it for surfing and playing games so it's good enough for me.
