Root Brand New Spectrum

Hey Guys, so I just cracked my first cell phone screen in over 10 years. First time for everything. Anyways I just received a brand new spectrum in the mail using my insurance. My cracked spectrum was rooted using the script found in the [Updated 11-20-12][BOOTLOADER][Windows][VS920]Bootloader Pwnage Tool for the LG Spectrum 4G thread and I had flashed the Quattrimus CM 10.1 ROM. Everything ran great I loved it.

Will my brand new spectrum be able to be rooted and get that ROM on it the same as my old one? I thought I remember reading something a while back in the depths of the forum that I can not seem to find now that a factory phone that is running V8 is different than the old ones that were updated via OTA. Thanks for all of the help.

ICS is ICS. They never patched the exploit in V8 so go at it with rooting and flashing CM.

You should be able to make a nandroid in cwm and restore it on your new phone after you get the boot loader unlocked on it. Being on v8 won't cause any issues.
