Congrats, and you have made a great decision. My Nexus 7 is my first tablet/android device. I reeeeaaally like it ;). Hope you enjoy.

Congrats! I hope it's not defective. I'm shipping my third one back on Monday.

Damn!! What problems have you had with it? Just ask for your money back dude and buy another tablet. I don't care how good a tablet is I would have never gotten past the second one.

I too am a new owner. I had the good fortune to find a deal on a refurbished 16G tablet and picked up this beauty yesterday. It's my 3rd tablet: i returned the first iPad as I didn't see anything useful about it - couldn't handle documents, couldn't support my online school, couldn't couldn't couldn't. Nice toy, but basically useless. I bought a Kindle fire, as it does what I need it to: get my books, my music, etc. in a quick and painless way, but other applications were a bit slow and painful. So I when the Nexus 7 came out I was really excited about it.
It's a perfect size. It's blazingly fast. it's the perfect size/weight to fit in my bag. So now I'll be studying what to load on it to maximize its use. I love the google apps all in one place, and I was impressed by the sound, even if I'm only planning to use it with headphones.

I am HAPPY with this thing, and I haven't even begun to really put it through its paces.

Excluding the hardware defects that seem all too common on this forum :-) the nexus 7 is by far I think one of the best and most usable tablets. Usable I mean the profile is nice and also the processor speed is great. Maybe the space is not too much bit for 200 or 250 dollars it is very very good and useful.

My poor computer is gathering lots of dust these days. I'm not sure where all the hardware problems are coming from. Probably that angry letter I sent to the people of Taiwan. I told them if they mess up anything that is coming to me I would hand the island over to China. Guess my ploy worked.
