Help Bricked Android

My android (Huawei) got stuck stuck/bricked and I´d like to unbrick it but don´t want to allow my contacts to get lost.
I found this guide, I´ll probably try that (seems that I could be able to manage this process) but I´d like to save my contacts somehow... is it possible?

When you say "bricked" do you mean it is just stuck on Huawei logo or keeps rebooting or only boots into recovery or it won't even turn on? If just wiping cache &/or Davlik (not data) fixes it you won't lose any or your data or contacts. Did you have a recent Nandroid backup before the brick? If you did and you reflash that all of the info of everything is stored in that anyway. If you have to reflash a new ROM or wipe data in anyway, I think it's gone and nothing can be done.
Did you save the contacts to internal memory rather than to Google? I always save to Google (I think that's the default on my Z1 at least anyway) just so that I always get my contacts restored when I sign back into Google after a re-flash etc.

This is the key question: "brick" is a generic term at best, and whether it's fixable without data loss depends very much on how it got into that state (as well as what "that state" actually is).
