it's an issue with the board that the usb jack is on. I had the same issue with one of my phones. the part can be found on ebay. I know this doesn't say its for the showtime. but here is the part. the L7 uses the same part. LG Optimus L7 P700 Flex Cable with Charging USB Dock Charger Port Connector | eBay you can also get it from china for less money. also your phone has a 1 year warranty from LG if you didn't get it wet or root it.
