Lurker
I have broke my screen on my razr HD and I cant find anyone here in Calgary AB Canada that I can trust to replace so I'm planning to do it myself... it looks pretty easy... anything I should be aware of?

also Im wondering if anyone tried putting a razr HD Maxx battery into razr HD?
Id die for the maxx battery life!!!!

Where should i buy the screen parts and a maxx battery from?

Thanks in advance

The fact that most people who do it themselves end up paying to have the phone repaired after they mess up some critical, but almost impossible to notice, part or wire. You're working with some very tight tolerances (thousandths of an inch or less) here. People who do this work have normally ruined many phones (that were destined for the landfill) before they got it all correct.

If the terminals are the same and the voltage is the same (almost guaranteed) and the battery fits, it should work, Or you could just buy a higher current HD battery and be sure. (Although I haven't found any with a quick look.)

As I said, I don't recommend that you do the screen yourself. As for the battery, you'd have to sacrifice one (and have some test equipment) to make sure that putting a Maxx battery into your phone wouldn't cause problems. Why not just buy a spare HD battery?
