Broken droid

Got my MotoDroid a month ago. Dropped it this morning and shattered the screen. Call a number verizon gave me to get it replaced. The people I spoke to over the phone tell me they have no droids in stock. I now have to settle for an lg ally, because thats the best phone they were willing to replace my droid with. So not only do I lose my $300 phone plus $50 for the insurance deductible, in the end I end up with a piece of crap phone compared to my old one. Tell me, can i upgrade back to a droid, and if so will I have to pay retail price for it?

That is actually really interesting. I would think they should have Droids in stock. Have they already shipped the other phone? Tell them that it is not an equal replacement, and that you want something like the X, as it is closer to the Droid. Keep calling, as you will eventually get to a rep that will do it for you, or give you to a manager that will do it. At least that is my experience with Verizon.
