Broken screen - choices as to next options?

Got a HTC One X on contract which ends May 2014, but I have smashed the screen, and wi-fi and call quality have also deteriorated, so I'm not sure if it's worth repairing. As I see it, my options are

1. Spend
 
I would check the second hand prices on HTC One X phones - that might help the decision.

I believe the latest HTC One was released around March in which case, you can expect the next version to be released no later than next March. That should mean it would be widely available by the end of your current contract. I certainly wouldn't be buying into another 2 year contract a One X now.

The Nexus 5 is likely to be announced next month and available in the UK sometime late October / early November - hopefully, this year they'll manage stock a little better than last so you can actually get one, too :D
