Help Broken touchscreen - How to remote control

Hello Guys,
New to the forum here. Got a sticky situation here, so thought I will ask.

I broke the LCD and touchscreen of my Galaxy Nexus phone. Now obviously I can't control the phone at all with the broken touchscreen. I know there are apps like mobizen and bunch of VNC servers available on Android and PC through which I can control the phone GUI from my Windows PC. But the problem here is that I can get the app installed on the phone via playstore from my PC, but there is barely any way to start the app without the phone LCD or touchscreen. Also even if I can write a shell script to open an app over adb, there is no way I can make settings on the app. So looking for any plausible solutions here.

I am not willing to invest on getting the touch fixed, because I already upgraded the phone. But I want to use this phone for projects.

Device model: Samsung Galaxy Nexus (verizon)
OS: Android ICS
PC OS: Windows 7

Thanks in advance.
Dash

P:S: I do have appcelerator studio on my PC, but not sure if you can view and control your phone GUI via the studio if it is at all possible.
