Root Broken Wifi?

I've tried pretty much all the roms and still am unable to connect to wifi. When i go to turn wifi on it shows it is on and "searching" and then as soon as the search ends (finding no ap's) wifi is off. Currently i'm on CM9 however it does the same thing on every rom so i'm assuming it's the same problem. I ran a alogcat when trying to turn the wifi on. If anybody can offer any help it would be greatly appreciated.

Did you get an answer to this? I am having the same problem and joined this forum in the hopes of getting a resolution. I attempt to turn on the wifi and it shuts off prior to connecting with anything. I have also noted that the "Add wi-fi network" selection does not do anything.
