Help buffering

Any idea why my Android box 4.2.2 buffers on live TV 24 hours a day even though it has a WIRED CONNECTION and yet my other box android 4.0.4 works fine! Have moved it to different rooms but still buffers.
 
Which box is it? There are known problems with the wired connection on G-box Midnight 2. Some of these are just junk. You are on wired conneciton so moving to diffierent rooms makes no difference. Try if Wireless makes it better.
 
have tried wifi too,, same problem,, can watch a whole movie on showbox with no buffering , but live TV is a no no. I have 3 other cheap android boxes in the house which I bought from ebay and they all work fine,, of course I don't use them all at the same time. This one is Emish model TV BOX 213, FIRMARER V2:1 , KERNEL 3.4.39+ BUILD NO. SugarZX4000engf22JDQ39. Using Filmon the only station that works with no buffering is REALLY TV. Weird or what?
 
So to be clear you are having issues only with the FilmOn app on this device? When you talk about "buffering 24 hours a day" do you mean that the video plays but stops to buffer all the time, or do you mean that the video buffers but never plays?
 
Yes,, apps like Showbox and Videomix pro work perfectly,, its just live TV as any recordings made on filmon work fine. The programme starts but every few seconds the little circle comes up spinning away then stops, video plays for few seconds and then buffers again. I use Filmon for UK tv as I;m in Cyprus but like I said my other 3 boxes work fine and 2 of them are wireless.
 
I note that in your first post you state that your 4.2.2 box (the Emish) doesn't work but 4.0.2 does. We should be clear that Android version does not indicate how powerful a box is. In fact, a device running 4.0.2 may have superior video processing capability.

I see that FilmOn streams at various quality settings depending on the media type. Based on your comments I would conclude that the Emish box is incapable of supporting steady video streams of Live TV from FilmON. You may be able to confirm that the basic hardware specs of your new box are better or worse then the old one. You will likely not be able to confirm whether the firmware has been properly optimized for the hardware, or relative quality of auxiliary components such as network adapter. In any case, I would recommend seeking a refund.
