Root Build.Prop Tweaks confirmed working [Updated 9/18/2015]

Guys, I'm on the VM G Stylo. This is one of the models that can't use a different recovery like TWRP. Unless I'm missing something, even trying to install TWRP on my G Stylo will permanently brick it. I've got app backups via Titanium Backup.

I've tried the procedure you described, viperdink. Several times. So, I'm going back here:

Turn on and use safe mode

Safe mode allows you to turn on the device with third-party apps disabled.
Then you can easily uninstall apps that may be causing a conflict or software problem.



Turn off your phone and reboot.

When you see the LG logo, press and hold the Volume Down key until you see the home screen.

Your home screen displays Safe mode in the lower left corner.

Uninstall apps that are causing problem.

Then

Turn off safe mode

Press and hold the Power key.
Tap Power off and restart.
The device restarts in standard mode.



Did you try this and factory resetting ?

Uninstalling apps wouldn't really help. I got soft bricked after adding some of the tweaks listed in the OP. Is it even safe to factory reset from recovery? Doing that might brick my rooted phone permanently.
