I am curious what you all are trying right now.

I just switched to:

crap kernal 1.2 (newest before retirement of joeseph mother)
ultimate tran van rom eb28
go launcher


Go is pretty, but i dont know if i like it yet. crap kernal seems pretty good so far and i like the rom.

Stock EB28
Droid Kernel v6, File systems all EXT4
Laucherpro which hasn't been updated in a seemingly long while.

If you don't know your file system it's safe to bet you're RFS or 'my phone is so slow I throw it at a wall almost every day.'

yes, that is exactly true. btw, you can check by rebooting into recovery.

does eb28 make things faster? i think i see my evening evaporating in front of my eyes.

Hmmm...this is me exactly. What is EXT4? If that helps with speed, I'm all for it.

EXT2 is the fastest, EXT4 is the most stable. I used EXT2 since Clockwork Mod recovery came out without a crash, but I am a lucky one
