Republic Wireless wants to help pay for your Moto X, and charge you $5 a month for service | Android and Me

I wonder will the phone be locked into Republic Wireless, but it sounds like some good prices for services.

Check the bands they use and that should give you an idea about other networks. I think they use Sprint's network + wifi for a hybrid deal. I've seen some pretty bad reviews but Im sure it all depends on your usage habits and if they fit to that plan/service.

I'm thinking of getting this one,on Boost right now. for my area its covered in both wifi and data. my question is will it be flashable to other networks ie Boost if i dont like their service.

I did some reading up on the republic wireless phones and apparently they have a very locked down bootloader that has not been cracked yet. So while they can be rooted they cant be flashed to a different rom, At least thats my understanding.

So if your ok with that and the sprint network has solid receptions in your area then this seems like a solid phone... assuming RW doesn't go under any time soon xD
