Buying a phone from walmart and activating at tmo store

I want a value plan but with samsung exhibit i would have to pay $350 plus for the phone. so i was wondering if this would work...I was gonna go to walmart and by the phone(its only 199 there) take it to tmo and tell them i need a sim card and get the plan i want for $65. would this work and also would it work if i tried it with a prepaid plan?

I know you can get the SIM card and sign up for the plan you want without a phone. The only question is, will Wally World sell you the phone for $199 without a plan?

Really, I didn't know that...how do I get away with that one? I was gonna tell Wally World it was a gonna be a gift to be used months down the line or better yet I have a SIM already and just need the phone.

The $199 deal is only with a plan. The phone costs Walmart more than that.

You can get a Value Plan and T-Mobile will finance the phone on your monthly bill with a small down payment if it's too much in one chunk. Or get one used and activate it on a Value Plan.
