Buying Digital Movies?

Okay, honestly I haven't looked TOO much into this, but I figured asking you guys would be the most efficient. I just bought my first Android product (Transformer Prime). Is there an online database to legally purchase digital copies of movies/tv shows that are in formats compatible for Android products? All I have found is renting movies or purchasing off of Amazon but only being able to stream (or can they also be downloaded?). HELP! I don't want to have to illegally convert all my iTunes movies into mp4s without the DRM.

bump? i know this is a newbie question, the answer is probably common knowledge. all i need is one response.

I have purchased several from the IPod Lounge Download iPod Movies | iPhone Movies | iPad Movies. They are mp4 video formatted for an iPod/iPhone and play well on any MP4 player including Android devices. Not high def quality, but acceptable; the resolution seems to be 480x240 and file size 500-750mb. I am curious of other sources, especially higher definition.

Is that site actually legal? They seem to be selling many Hollywood blockbuster movies there, apparently without DRM and country restrictions. Similar to those dubious Russian MP3 sites? Although I'm in China, where the legality of downloads doesn't really matter, but the MPAA might not be too happy about it.

Do you have specific knowledge or evidence that the site is not legal?

No evidence as such. However Hollywood never lets their movies be sold on the internet without DRM copy protection of some sort. Do you know where the site actually is? Russia, China, USA, etc. ?

BTW their domain is registered via an anonymous GoDaddy proxy and the only contact info is email only, no phone numbers or street address.
