Buying @ full retail price, will it affect my eligibility?

So I got my droid last year around this time. The soonest I can buy a new phone on discount is in sept. Now if I go out and buy a thunderbolt at full retail price, and then come sept, another 4g phone comes out, am I still eligible for the discounted price on the new phone? Or do I lose that discount because I got another phone?

I would think that since I am still on contract and I paid full retail, my account should be eligible for a discount. But who knows... Sometimes there are weird rules that make no sense...

i presume that your correct. Buying full price doesn't affect your contract, that's why its so damn expensive. But I would be sure to check with them... btw how do you afford all these new 4g phones. damn!

I bought my X at retail last month, I am still eligible for an upgrade next year.
